Never has there been a Spring quite like this, so much hope when compared to this time last year, but also a time to reflect on a very turbulent twelve months. At Brambly Hedge we have always found utter delight in all stages of Spring, a time of optimism, unfurling buds, and fresh green shoots.

All along the hedge the primroses are reacting to the sun and the wild garlic scent fills the shady woodland. Nothing makes us want to get experimenting in the kitchen more than wild garlic, and we have been testing a few new recipes…more on this soon! For the moment there are many recipes including our wild garlic scones, in the Brambly Hedge Kitchen area of the website.

In book news, we have an all-new 40th anniversary paperback edition of Spring Story available.  We love the new yellow jacket and larger format to make exploring Jill’s highly detailed illustrations even more enthralling. More paperbacks are on the way this year!

We are delighted to welcome new translated editions of Brambly Hedge available this Spring! New editions in Korean, Romanian, Slovakian, and Hungarian have all been published. For the first time in many years there will also be a new Japanese edition of Spring Story publishing very soon.

Spring Story has also been reimagined in the Wee Forest Folk style. The Brambly Hedge inspired clay mouse miniatures are hand crafted and painted in incredible detail by the Peterson family in the U.S.A. These special editions are available to order via the Wee Forest Folk website

We have exciting news on our greetings cards, we have teamed up with Museums & Galleries to produce cards featuring our illustrations, including birthday, wedding, Christmas and ‘new baby’ cards. The cards are now available for retailers to order direct from Museums & Galleries

More news on Brambly Hedge ranges, including our exciting new babywear line will be coming soon.

We hope you all get the chance to get outside and enjoy watching spring unfold as we head towards longer warmer days.

Best Spring wishes to you all,

Brambly Hedge Team
