Dear Miss Barklem,
My name is Libby, and I live on the Isle of Wight. I have a grown up brother Simon, sister, Katie and a younger brother, Tim. At some time we have all read some of your books. Mummy bought the complete set when Simon adn Katie were little. I loev your books because they are different than all the new ones ... I think my favourites are the Winter Story, Secret Staircase and Poppy's Babies. I also admire you because you write and illustrate all of your books. Yours sincerely Libby, Isle of Wight |

I have been reading Brambly Hedge series since I was very little, I remember that, when I was 6 years old, I went to the library and I always read your stories. I spent hours looking at the illustrations and the details. Nowadays I like drawing these pictures, too; you are my role model, because you respect nature, you draw and write Brambly Hedge stories for kids, and you bring happiness with your stories... Sincerely Moi, Bologna, Italy

Dear Jill
I hope you are feeling better from the hospital. I like Brambly Hedge books very much because the pictures are so neat and I like the way it is written. Have you been writing any new stories? Love

| Dear Jill
I have been meaning to write to you for such a long time, since you responded to Jesse's letter way back in the summer. I can't begin to tell you how much of a thrill it was for her - we were just about to leave for our holiday, ... and your lovely letter further encourages Jesse to search among the hedgerows for her beloved "Brambly Hedge". One of the things I wanted to say is a big thankyou - Brambly Hedge and all the little folk therein has been the pivotal factor for getting Jesse into reading. In fact, Jesse's school teacher recently mentioned to her that she might dare to explore other stories too, such is her enthusiasm. With much love and best wishes from Julie, Kent
